THE WAKE UP CALL
NATURAL LEADERSHIP FOR HUMAN HERDS
Our Signature Offering
Horses mirror your energy, leadership, and emotion. They quickly and clearly show you how you operate in your daily life. To spend a day with horses is to learn exactly how the rest of the world experiences you — and how you experience the rest of the world.
These wise animals also naturally demonstrate balanced and shared leadership, giving human groups an intimate experience of stability and trust along with the freedom to give and receive feedback, while valuing each member’s strengths and their dynamic leadership role.
The horses are our starting point with many organizations and groups. Simply put, horse experiences are our most accurate assessment tool. Forget about DISC and MBTI and StrengthsFinder. Stand next to a horse and you will learn everything you need to know about yourself. The post-horse experience work we do within your organization will give you countless opportunities to reflect on what you learned with the horse and the guidance to integrate the lessons into your everyday world.
A typical day with the horses will be spent on a ranch where we will interact with horses in a variety of ways throughout the day. From individual horse sessions to group activities, your day will be full of opportunities to interact with these amazing animals and truly understand your own leadership in a deep and lasting way.
You don’t need any experience with horses to gain valuable insights and make big changes through our work. In fact, you don’t even need to like horses! And keep in mind that when you’re working with us, you won’t be riding. All of our activities are on the ground.
LIGHTEN UP LEADERSHIP
WHERE LEADERSHIP TRAINING & COMEDY MEET
What does comedy have to do with leadership?
Bringing together the best of brain science-based leadership development and the tools of comedy makes for unforgettable training experiences where rapid transformation is possible. When we laugh at our perceived weaknesses, we liberate ourselves to a lighter way of being. We can then see our growing edges. We begin to chip away at our huge and painful egos and invite the possibility that our careers and lives are ours to create.
There’s agility in lightening up. There’s ease and play. Ultimately, there’s the opportunity to experience the truth of our power.
As a professional comedian and leadership trainer working across the Fortune 100, Lucia Brizzi offer participants a unique opportunity to:
1. “Get out of their head” and into their creativity
2. Connect with impact and authenticity in every interaction
3. Take power with easeful joy to share their unique contribution.
TEND YOUR FLOCK
Step back in time and experience the ways of a traditional shepherd. The lessons you learn with a flock of sheep and the laser eye focus of a border collie will forever change the way you approach group dynamics and profoundly shift how you lead people
In this unique experience, you will learn:
- The fundamentals of change management and the impact environmental shifts have on all mammals.
- How to sense unrest and communicate stable leadership when others are experiencing natural fears and pressure
- The power of scope and perspective when approaching problems or overcoming obstacles.
THE HOME OF THE MIND
MEDITATION PRACTICES FOR EVERYDAY LIFE
If you have tried meditation before, you might be like many others who have felt confused or doubtful. You may even have felt like a failure! So many of us have the sense that our minds are too cluttered and busy with thoughts causing overwhelm and stress. Meditation is like a workout for the mind, a way to strengthen our capacity to direct our minds to a more peaceful state.
We invite our friends of the Middle Way meditation tradition, monks from Thailand, who join us for a day of experiences, discussion, stories, laughter, and community. What is most special and sacred about our meditation experience is that we gather outside, surrounded by animals and fresh air to practice meditation.
The Circle Up approach to meditation training provides:
- Kind and gentle teachers who enjoy conversation and exchanging ideas
- Simple techniques and exercises that make meditation accessible
- Safe community to practice and learn together
- In depth conversation about how groups and teams can bring meditation and mindfulness practices into their work lives
- Deep understanding about the health benefits of meditation practice and how a stable mind state can positively impact one’s leadership presence and effectiveness
CIRCLE UP THE WAGONS
UNCOVERING THE HIDDEN LESSONS OF ANCIENT SKILLS
Fire and Shelter Building, Orienteering, Animal Tracking, Falconry
This one day workshop focuses on primitive survival skills and ancient practices as a way to tap into your innate leadership. Faced with survival tasks during the course of the day, groups will work together and individually to complete objectives, manage obstacles, and learn new skills. Many of the everyday practices of previous generations offer lessons that are applicable to our personal and professional lives today.
Groups benefit from working together by:
- Connecting with interdependence and the power of collaboration and partnership.
- Sharing ideas and resources for the common good
- Practicing resilience in the face of natural and unpredictable elements.
The workshop is woven together with care for frequent places to pause, reflect, regroup, and return to experimenting. This experience can be extended to include a camp out, bonfire, and home-cooked dinner.
